What is a quotation?

A quotation is a measuring tool, used to measure positions, distances, angles and curvatures directly on the 3D model. The following quotations are available:

  • Position: gives the 3D coordinates at the measure point.
  • Distance:
    • Point-Point: gives the distance between two measure points.
    • Axis-Axis: gives the distance between the longest principal axis of the two objects under the measure points.
    • Axis-Surface: gives the distance between the longest principal axis of the object under the first measure point and the surface of the object under the second measure point.
    • Surface-Surface: gives the distance between the surfaces of the two objects under the measure points.
  • Geodesic distance: gives the geodesic distance (on the surface of the objects) between two or more measure points.
  • Angle: gives the angle between the surfaces of the objects under the two measure points.
  • Curvature: gives the curvature of the face of an object.
